Welcome to Real Spring Villa.com

We are dedicated to learning the real history behind Spring Villa and Penn Yonge.

I grew up about 3 miles from Spring Villa and remember it as a place of wonder.

I spent the night at the house (not sure if the main or back house) in the mid 1960s, probably with Cub Scout Pack 352 in 1965.

I found an article where Den 4, Pack 352, led by Mrs. Clyde Walker and Mrs. Bill Cumbie, went to Spring Villa probably for the first time May 14, 1966. An article in 1968 said they were going for the 3rd time May 1968. So, maybe I went in 1966 or I was in den 1-3, I'm not sure.

I remember someone put ketchup on the 13th step and told us about the murder, then we heard a noise outside, and someone was dressed as a ghost in a sheet at the outer edge of the lawn.

I also remember going to the Spring Villa pool. And I always thought the house belonged to William Penn.

Now as an adult I want to know the real story of Spring Villa and Penn Yonge.
